Cycling along quiet back roads and farm tracks we discover the beautiful region of Cappadocia in central Turkey. Soft lava and ash rock has eroded to form a landscape unlike any other on earth. We cycle among the contoured cliffs and rock-cut churches of the Ihlara Valley and discover the underground network of tunnels and cities in Kaymakli. We cycle mainly on small, unsurfaced farm tracks and minor rural back roads. There is relatively little ascent/descent, but routes can easily be extended for keener cyclists. Cycle on 50% farm tracks; 50% asphalt.
Try optional hot air ballooning over the surreal landscapes of Cappadocia.

Trip Highlights
Ihlara - Rock-cut churches.
Kaymakli - Fascinating underground city.
Mustafapasa (Sinasos) - Unspoilt former Greek village.

ADVENTURE - Cycling - Bicycle Europe
Language barrier, embrace it. Bookstore travel guide, dump it. Fear of street food, chuck it. Liberate yourself from all that. Wake up expecting anything. Mai pen rai (keep smiling). Because "hey, you’re in Thailand." Bike an uncharted oxcart path among lush rice paddies and garlic fields. Be startled by an ornate Buddhist temple quietly sitting in the middle of a jungle-filled valley. Relish a truly homemade curry and stare at the jagged limestone hills that have not changed for thousands of years. Say to yourself, "Is it Tuesday?" Even that doesn’t matter because you're in Thailand. So mai pen rai.

ADVENTURE - Cycling - Bicycle Asia
Biking doesn’t get any more epic than New Zealand. Or more beautiful. The greens of Ireland. The skyscapes of Switzerland. The friendly feel of, well, New Zealand. It’s where glaciers get cozy with rain forests. Where the Tasman Sea surf pounds an Oregon-rugged coastline. On a bike, you’re in the middle of it all. Ocean mist in your face. Ever-changing natural beauty through your sunglasses. Island-fresh air in your lungs to complement that bit of sweat on your brow. Here the sheep have it made. This week, they aren’t the only ones.

ADVENTURE - Cycling - Bicycle Latin America
The climate in Southern Morocco is ideal for this active winter break. Surrounded by the Jebel Sahro mountain range we cycle through kasbahs, tribal villages and cool oases in the Draa Valley. We ride camels to a nomad desert camp in the Sahara, explore the rock formations of the Todra Gorge and ride through Berber countryside in the High Atlas. By using our support bus to ascend steep sections we ensure that cycling is either relatively flat or downhill, though there are still a few uphill sections. Expect some exhilarating descents from high passes (including the dramatic Tizi n'Outfi). 95% on asphalt.
Trip Highlights
Draa Valley - Cycling through one of the most picturesque valleys in Morocco with thousands of palm trees and kasbahs.
Erg Chebbi - Excursion to biggest Saharan sand dunes in Morocco.
Tizi N'Fedrhate - Cycle down from stunning mountain pass in the High Atlas towards Marrakech.
Marrakech - Famous city with Djemma-el-Fna Square.

Few things in this world live up to the hype. But everything you’ve ever heard about Tuscany is true. It’s not a destination. It’s an experience. Rides lined with cypress trees overlooking the patchwork vineyards below will stop you on your bike. And no view will compare to that view. Until you round the next bend and see another. It’s a wonder anyone ever finishes the rides. And that’s only what you’ll see; imagine the wines and flavors you’ll experience.
