High in the Rockies, on the doorstep of Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks, the jagged peaks of Wyoming's Teton Range rise abruptly over pristine forests, fast-running rivers and the broad, flat valley known as Jackson Hole. Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole welcomes with the romantic style of the American West: lodge-like cosiness with expansive views to Sleeping Indian and Rendezvous mountains, and the Snake River and wildflower meadows of Jackson Valley. Its interiors - rich wood and natural stone – are sleekly contemporary yet reflect the area’s heritage. With prime slope-side views of Rendezvous Mountain, diners at the Westbank Grill enjoy the flavours and ingredients of the American West, with particular emphasis on seasonal selections of grilled meat, game and fish. Guests may also relax on the heated outdoor terrace, complete with its own wood-burning fireplace. The Peak bar is conveniently located at the base of Rendezvous Mountain's ski runs, and accessible from inside the Resort. Both skiers and non-skiers relax over informal, classic American fare and enjoy the wide selection of aperitifs and after-dinner drinks. The full-service alpine spa provides a comprehensive range of massages and spa treatments to promote relaxation, invigoration and renewal.
Amangani is Amanresorts' first North American resort. Nearly 7,000 feet above sea level, the resort overlooks meadows and grazing land. Across the valley is Teton Pass, which divides the Snake River Range from the snow-capped Tetons. The Teton Range, dominated by the 4,200m summit of Grand Teton, is the youngest of the Rocky Mountains. The snow-fed waters of the Snake River gather in the Yellowstone Plateau and wind south through Jackson Hole. The 40-suite, three-storey resort is set on the cliff-edge of a butte. Its roof, crafted of cedar shakes, flows like a natural outcropping. Amangani makes extensive use of Oklahoma sandstone and Pacific redwood. Douglas fir and cedar also lend shape and style to the resort. A soaring ceiling and a wide, two-storey window with stunning mountain views opens up from the lobby. The zinc-top Bar is defined by rugged sandstone columns, half-a-dozen wrought-iron bar stools and an intimate, window-side setting of tables and chairs. In the summer, drinks can be taken out onto the adjacent terrace. Amangani’s Health Center offers two exercise studios, four treatment rooms and separate steam rooms for men and women.
